Prayers and Deepest Sympathy Following Darwin Training Tragedy

The Catholic Military Ordinariate of Australia community extends its heartfelt prayers and profound condolences to the family, friends, and Darwin Defence community following the tragic death of an Australian Army soldier at the Mount Bundey Training Area, while praying for the swift recovery of five injured personnel.

 

 

 


 

The Catholic Military Ordinariate of Australia community is deeply saddened by the tragic news emerging from the Northern Territory. We extend our profound condolences, sympathy, and heartfelt prayers to the family, friends, and the entire Defence community in Darwin following the loss of an Australian Army soldier.

Our prayers and spiritual support are also closely with the five injured soldiers involved in the incident, as we pray for their comfort and a swift recovery.

According to an official Defence press release, the incident occurred during a training exercise at the Mount Bundey Training Area.

The Department of Defence has requested that the privacy of the affected family and Defence members be deeply respected during this incredibly challenging time. Defence will release further information at a later date as official updates become available.
