Visit of the Apostolic Nuncio to Australia

Apostolic Nuncio and Bishop Max

On Sunday evening, 19 November 2017, the Apostolic Nuncio to Australia (the Holy Father’s Representative in Australia), His Excellency Most Reverend Adolfo Tito Yllana, visited the Military Diocese where  he concelebrated Mass on the Feast of Christ the King with Bishop Max and several Military Chaplains at St Paul’s Catholic Chapel, Royal Military College, Duntroon ACT.

This was the Apostolic Nuncio’s first visit to the Military Diocese and he chose the venue of St Paul’s Chapel for his visit. This chapel is the Principal Chapel of the Diocese.

In his address at the conclusion of Mass, he expressed the Holy Father’s fraternal care for Bishop Max, his respect for the work of the Catholic chaplains, his admiration and pastoral concern for all Members of the Australian Defence Force; especially for those deployed, and for our military families who bear sacrificial love in raising their children in often difficult circumstances.

The St Paul’s Chapel Community hosted a dinner for parishioners and guests after the Mass.
